Bly Studio

Anne Brandhøj and Eva Fly founded Bly Studio in Copenhagen with a shared belief: that the strongest ideas emerge in dialogue. Their work is defined by a hands-on design process, a deep respect for materials and a quiet attention to the way objects interact with the people who use them.

Ideas that emerge in dialogue

Anne and Eva met at The Royal Academy of Design in Copenhagen, where craftsmanship is not a finishing touch but the foundation of the design process itself. They sketch, test, build and rebuild staying close to the material at every stage, testing ideas with their own hands and bodies before committing to a form.

Their studio began as a collaboration during their studies and became Bly Studio in 2019, when it became clear that their most compelling work only emerged through the space between them — in the conversation, the tension, the shared instinct.

Designing with care, for people and for time

Bly Studio designs with intention — choosing materials and methods that are considered not just for how they look or feel today, but for how they will age, and what they will mean over years of use. They believe that truly considered objects invite a meaningful and lasting bond between person and piece.

Nature is not a direct reference in their work, but an ever-present sensitivity. Natural light, organic form, tactile surfaces — these are not themes but undercurrents, quietly shaping every decision.

"Beauty reveals itself slowly, over time, in the way something is used or how it ages."
