AHM x LUND
Isabel Ahm and Signe Lund work at the intersection of craft, architecture and design from their Copenhagen studio. A furniture architect and a fine furnituremaker — their collaboration is built on the belief that when an object is made with true material understanding and honest intent, it earns a place in a space for generations.
Two opposites, one shared language
Isabel and Signe first collaborated in 2016 through an exhibition pairing professional designers with cabinetmaker students. What began as a single project became a permanent partnership — formalised as AHM x LUND in 2018.
Isabel brings a sharp conceptual and contextual eye, shaped by her training as a furniture architect at the Royal Danish Academy. Signe brings a detail-driven command of material and craft, graduating as a fine furnituremaker with a silver medal — the highest honour possible. Together they form a symbiosis: each contributing at every stage, each making the other's thinking more precise.

Ray has been acquired for the permanent collection of Designmuseum Danmark — the institution that holds and continues the story of Danish design from its earliest masters to the present day.
An acquisition is not a temporary exhibition. It is a curatorial judgment about lasting significance — a decision that places an object in direct lineage with the designers who defined what Danish design means to the world.
