Monocot Studio Singapore
In Singapore, where the density of urban life presses against the desire for stillness, Monocot Studio has created a home that breathes. A space where natural materials, soft daylight and considered proportion come together into something that feels both contemporary and timeless.
Where tradition and modernity find their balance
Monocot Studio was founded by architect Mikael Teh with a clear belief: that design is not an unexplainable abstract but an aesthetic language derived from natural order, proportion and practicality. His practice draws from over a decade of architectural work across Singapore, Melbourne, South Asia and Southeast Asia — always in pursuit of the intimate space that invites people to truly live in it.
In this Singapore home, oak and travertine meet clean architectural lines. Tactile surfaces absorb the soft daylight that moves through the space. Nothing competes. Everything contributes.

Enso in the home
Enso was designed around the meeting of two traditions: Danish oak joinery, fixed with magnets, carrying a shade of specially coated Japanese washi paper. In a space defined by the meeting of materials - it finds its natural counterpart.
