Yoko Mug
Designed by Stilleben
Part of the Yoko tableware collection, this mug brings a ceremonial quality to the table. Its sculptural form plays with contrast - sharp, defined edges shaped from the softness of porcelain.

Yoko is inspired by Stilleben's first trip to Japan. The collection takes its name from a Japanese girl's name, reflecting the cultural exchange that shaped its aesthetic.
The mug's strong, angular silhouette challenges the expectations of porcelain as a material. Together with the teapot and pitcher, it adds a ceremonial feeling to the table setting.

Sculptural forms meet serene rituals
Named after a Japanese girl’s name that symbolizes cheerful warmth, Yoko merges Danish sculptural form with Japanese tea ceremony sensibilities. Inspired by red urushi lacquer and the light blue of the Nordic sky, each porcelain piece highlights the tension between sharp edges and the clay’s soft nature - embracing a subtle wabi-sabi spirit that celebrates both vibrant color and simplicity.

Stilleben
Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft founded Stilleben in Copenhagen in 2002 — a design store, a studio and a way of seeing the world. Their work is rooted in the beauty of everyday life: the table shared with friends, the texture of a glaze, the quiet pleasure of an object that simply feels right.
