Enso Table Lamp

Inspired by traditional Japanese wood joinery, Enso combines specially coated washi paper with solid oak craftsmanship to create a table lamp that diffuses light into a soft, warm glow.
An upright cylinder of washi stands on a round oak base, its seam held by a slim oak post up the back and fixed with two brass screws. The construction left honest and in view. Washi paper from Japan, oak from Denmark. Made in Denmark.

Enso Table is a modern descendant of the Japanese chōchin, the traditional paper lantern, a glowing cylinder of washi that has lit interiors for centuries.
Here that lineage is reimagined: the specially coated washi is strong enough to hold its own upright form, lit not by flame but by a concealed light, and grounded on solid oak. It stands on a round oak base, with a slim oak post running up the back that holds the paper's seam closed, fixed under gentle pressure by two brass screws.
Where the hanging Enso conceals its fixings, the table version shows them: oak and brass, honestly expressed.
The oak joinery holds the shade in place and is easy to clean with a cloth, and the base is finished underneath with felt to protect the surface it stands on.
Available in three oak finishes — smoked, natural and black — each giving the piece a different warmth against the glow of the paper.

Enso Table Lamp is shipped securely packed in a cardboard box.
Dust can be removed from both the inside and outside of the shade using a soft dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment. For more thorough cleaning over time, gently wipe using a soft cloth lightly wrung in lukewarm water.
Enso table lamp extends the story of the pendant, designed for smaller moments.
With a modern take on the traditional Japanese lanterns, the lamp shade is constructed with special coated Japanese washi paper, resulting in a soft and diffuse light.
