Enso 150 Pendant
Designed by Lars Vejen
Enso is a lcircle shaped by gravity. A long cylinder of coated washi paper glows softly from within, held by two panels of solid oak that join along its top — no screws, no visible fixings. There is nothing inside the paper: the washi holds its own form, and so, over time, it yields gently to gravity, settling from a near-perfect circle into a soft oval — never quite perfect, never quite the same. At 150 cm, this is the larger Enso — a generous line of light for longer tables and more expansive rooms. Named for the ensō, the Zen circle drawn in a single breath, it finds its beauty in imperfection. Washi paper from Japan, oak from Denmark. Made in Denmark.

Enso explores the relationship between craftsmanship, gravity and imperfection. Inspired by traditional Japanese wood joinery, the pendant begins as a nearly perfect circle before naturally settling into a softer oval shape over time.
The pendant combines traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern LED technology. Its lightweight washi paper shade softly diffuses the light source, while the solid oak joinery introduces warmth, structure and precision to the overall silhouette.
Designed to work both individually and in compositions, Enso creates a calm architectural presence above dining tables, kitchen islands, meeting tables and hospitality interiors.
- Frame in solid oak
- Shade in PVC-coated Japanese washi paper
- Integrated dimmable LED
- Adjustable black steel wire (3.5 meters)
- Black cable (4 meters)
- Black metal canopy
The oak construction is assembled using discreet magnetic connections, allowing the shade to be easily opened for cleaning and maintenance.
When installed, gravity naturally shapes the form of the pendant, resulting in a unique oval form. Colors shown on screen may vary slightly from the actual product.
The washi paper for the Enso Pendant is unique and therefore every lamp will have its own unique character.

A companion piece, Enso 120, offers the same design at a more compact scale, for kitchen islands and smaller tables.
Enso is shipped in a compact tube-shaped package designed for secure transport and efficient storage while minimising unnecessary material waste.
Dust can be removed from both the inside and outside of the shade using a soft dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment.
For more thorough cleaning over time, the shade can be carefully opened and placed on a clean surface. Gently wipe using a soft cloth lightly wrung in lukewarm water.

The shape of gravity
The pendant is shaped by the subtle force of imperfection and the lamp itself becomes a collaboration with gravity. First installed, Enso takes on a slightly oval shape, and it slowly settles into its final oval shape.
Never quite perfect, and never quite the same.

Danish meets Japanese design in one pendant
Enso - Japanese for ‘circle’ - draws from a classic calligraphic motif, an artist’s quest to form a perfect circle while acknowledging how gravity shapes it over time.
Enso represents the meeting of Danish in Japanese design, resulting in a soft, diffused light.
- Danish oak wood joinery fixed with magnets.
- Special coated resistant Japanese washi-paper.
