Sekiun 23 Raw Pendant
Designed by Ryota Yokozeki
Sekiun Raw is built from a pair of oval washi shades, offset where they meet, so the outline shifts as you move around it. The Japanese washi is soft and openly textured, its fibre grain visible once the lamp is lit, light comes through warm and uneven, closer to sunlight through cloud than light through glass. Designed by Ryota Yokozeki, handmade in Denmark.
It shares its material language with Enso Raw
Sekiun Raw works alone above a table or grouped at varying heights to create volume. It shares its material language with , so the two can be combined across a full interior without breaking the calm.

Light passes through the washi unevenly, catching the fibre grain and folding warm shadows across the shade — the quality of sunlight filtered through clouds, brought into the room.
The Japanese washi paper is left with more of its natural surface: softer to the touch, more openly textured, and warmer in tone than a smooth laminated shade. It is made for interior use.
Sekiun Raw works well hung alone above a dining table, as a sculptural presence in a living space, or grouped in clusters for a rhythmic installation in larger interiors.
As a natural material, each pendant varies slightly in appearance — more visibly so in the Raw finish, where the fibre pattern is part of the character. Colours shown on screen may vary slightly from the actual product.

The sky as a blueprint
Drifting like a cloud
Ryota's Sekiun Pendant was born from a simple observation: that everyone, everywhere, has looked up at the sky and felt something. Cumulus clouds shift with the hour, the season, the light. No two moments are the same.
Made by rolling and layering two pieces of specially coated washi paper, Sekiun captures that same quality of change. Viewed from one angle it appears soft and full. From another, the layered shadows deepen. Like a cloud caught in sunlight, it warms the space around it - differently each time.
